wishes & dandelions

dandelions: as weeds are to flowers.
carefree girls that are to be plucked, yet impish—
child-like. sweet milk on wet plaster—that of the fountain.
throw a penny in a fountain. throw a wish and watch
it sprout. throw the same wish and watch me buckle—
slip, trip over the littlest things. I’ll make a wish out
of you and find it’s always the same.
i fall into daydreams hoping these wishes ripen.
wishing to bite, dig clipped nails into—
the ripest fruit is the sweetest
i’m all wishes
i’m all you
i watch as you pass by me
i throw a penny in a fountain
i watch another weed sprout
i fall into daydreams wishing—
i also wanted to add a bit about my poem, i hope it reads as intended:
